Rooted in the sacred origins of perfumery, where the most precious resins and incense were burned in ceremony, their perfumed smoke carrying quiet, fragrant messages. Celest honours these timeless rituals that shaped perfumery as we know it. It is a composition defined by reverence to its heritage, yet guided forward, where tradition becomes illumination.


The fragrance opens with the finest English chamomile, imparting a soft, golden clarity and a sense of calm refinement, lifted by fresh bergamot to create an airy, celestial introduction.

Originally created at the Jermyn Street shop by Mr John Floris in the early 1800s. Floris’ White Rose fragrance was a favourite of Florence Nightingale, having bottles shipped out to her during her time in the Crimea war. A Letter from Florence is still on display and treasured in our Jermyn Street shop where she expresses her gratitude to Mr. Floris and her favourite fragrance White Rose.
